Contrary to popular belief, the theme of this year’s Met Gala was not “Holy Matrimony.” But nonetheless, Kylie Jenner is on the red carpet wearing a full-blown wedding gown and veil.

The reality star and makeup mogul walked down the aisle — ehm, Met Gala red carpet — in a ruffled bridal look, with no engagement ring to be seen. Her dramatic ensemble paid homage to beloved American designer Virgil Abloh, who died in November 2021. The look was punctuated with Off-White’s signature “OFF” logo stamped across the sheer chest.

Jenner’s cap-sleeved cupcake gown boasted a fitted bodice with a subtle, sweetheart neckline and a massive, princess skirt. She rounded out the bridal-inspired look with a backwards baseball cap, complete with a 3D floral applique and a bridal veil that covered those famous Jenner features. She accessorized the already-bold ensemble with vinyl, strappy sandals and a single, crystal statement earring.

Interestingly, Jenner is not the only star to arrive on Monday’s red carpet in wedding garb. Hailey Bieber (who wore Off-White on her actual wedding day) looked decidedly bridal in a white slip dress. Model Miranda Kerr and Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney also took part in the unexpected trend, both wearing white gowns with big, billowing skirts.
