Taylor Swift Wore A Snake Green Sequin Dress To The 2024 Golden Globes

Once Taylor Swift received a Golden Globe Awards nomination for “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement,” Swifties everywhere started fantasizing about her sartorial selection for the big day (if she indeed replied “yes” to the golden invite).

Since she was nominated for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie, fans predicted she would channel one of her famed musical eras. An embellished, royal blue gown in honor of her latest album, Midnights? Or perhaps she’d go a more retro route, paying homage to her self-titled record from 2006?

Taking her “snake” title quite literally, Swift chose the sartorial embodiment of her Reputation album: a shimmery sequin gown in venomous green.

Leaving Reputation loyalists everywhere in a tizzy, the singer walked the red carpet in a custom Gucci creation. The designer look was a slight detour from her recent black-on-black looks (the 2017 album’s signature shade); however, it wasn’t lacking in Reputation callouts.

The green sequins channeled the scales on a slithering snake, the record’s trademark motif. The back was entirely open, adding a rare spicy element to the look.

Given the eye-catching fabric of her gown, the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer kept her red carpet-ready accents to a minimum. She wore only a few delicate rings, a thin tennis bracelet, and a particularly frosted earring stack.

When sourcing her latest award show outfit, perhaps Swift was inspired by her most recent Golden Globes after-party look, which also took style cues from Reputation.

While still very much in the OG Rep era, Swift attended the 2019 affair in a moody, off-the-shoulder noir number adorned with shimmering fringe.
