9 Must-See 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2' Cameos

Walt Disney Pictures

Any self-respecting Guardians of the Galaxy fan knows that it's not a Guardians party without at least a few surprise cameos and pop culture references. And so, as is sequel tradition, the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cameos are bigger and better than original. The newest installment into the Marvel Cinematic Universe might not have a lot of MCU crossover cameos (or any, really), but what the movie lacks in Avengers, it makes up for in many Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cameos from celebirites.

After the smash success of GotG, it's not surprising that stars came running to the sequel for cameos. Some, like Baywatch's David Hasselhoff will be easy for fans to recognize (Hasselhoff is mentioned a few times in the film by name). Others, like Seth Green's voice work as Howard the Duck, are harder to pin down. If you see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and count anything less than nine celebrity cameos, then I'm sorry to say, you missed a few. To ensure that you don't miss any major celebrity cameos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, here's a list of nine of celebrity cameos everyone will be talking about.

Hasselhoff shows up briefly in GotG 2 (I won't spoil the entire thing here), and he even recorded an original theme song for the film called "Guardians Inferno."

2

Stan Lee

Lee, Marvel genius, makes his signature cameo in GotG 2 in the main film and in one of the many post-credit scenes. The cameo is sure to spark many fan theories, so it's definitely one you can't miss.

3

Seth Green

Green reprises his role as Howard the Duck for a brief cameo. Though fans won't get to see his beautiful face, they will get to hear him for one fun scene.

4

Jeff Goldblum

Goldblum is set to make his MCU debut as The Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok, or at least he was before popping up in the credits of GotG 2.

5

Sylvester Stallone

Stallone appears in GotG 2 as Stakar Ogord, one of the original Guardians.

6

Michael Rosenbaum

Rosenbaum, best known for playing Lex Luthor on Smallville, appears briefly as Martinex, a member of Staker's Ravagers crew (aka another original Guardian).

7

Miley Cyrus

Cyrus doesn't appear on screen, but her voice is the voice of Mainframe, the AI member of Stakar's team.

8

Michelle Yeoh

Yeoh (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) plays another member of Stakar's team (she also happens to be his wife).

9

Ving Rhames

Finally, Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Mission: Impossible) plays another member of Stakar's team, Charlie-27, a Ravager Captain.

If this is the group Marvel assembled for GotG 2 cameos, just imagine the star power of Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
