Sarah Chiwaya

Sarah Chiwaya is a freelance fashion writer, who focuses on size inclusion and representation through first-person essays. She often experiments with trying new styles and trends from a plus-size perspective.

Sarah has been writing about plus fashion and body positivity for more than a decade. She started her career as an Associate Fashion Editor at Plus Model Magazine. Since then, her work has appeared in Refinery29, StyleCaster, the The Knot, and Bustle, among others. Sarah also does freelance consulting, sharing her in-depth knowledge of the plus-size fashion space. She works behind the scenes with fashion brands to help expand sizing and better reach the plus-size market.

As an influencer, Sarah has made appearances on Good Morning America, CBS News, and more. She has been featured in the New York Times, Teen Vogue, InStyle, Business Insider, Glamour, Allure, New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Self Magazine, TODAY, and many more. She attended University of Michigan and Columbia Law.

She is also the founder of New York City Plus, a community for in-person events for plus women. When she is not working, Sarah enjoys traveling, long afternoons on the beach, reading fiction, and watching bad reality television.
