Before joining BDG, Sophie worked as an editorial intern at Library of America. In Somerville, Massachusetts, she worked as a freelance reporter, covering local news and arts and culture stories. Sophie graduated from Tufts University in 2025, majoring in History with a minor in Spanish.
Sophie is a born and bred New Yorker. When she’s not writing, she splits her time between winning bar trivia, the ceramics studio, and working her way through The New York Times 100 Best Books of the 21st Century.
